Welcome to Holy Cross College, a place where economics comes to life. At Holy Cross College, we believe in making Economics accessible and impactful. Our Macroeconomics course provides a foundational understanding of key economic principles, exploring topics such as national income, unemployment, fiscal policy, monetary policy, and international trade. We are committed to bridging the gap between theory and practice, and our students are eager to apply their classroom knowledge to real-world challenges..
We are in search of Businesses and non-profit organizations who share our passion for collaboration and are enthusiastic about working with students. The ideal projects are those that present a clear economic or social problem statement, offering our students a challenging and practical task. These projects can be research-focused, task-focused, or a fusion of both. Flexibility is key; we encourage our partner business owners to be open to negotiating the project scope to ensure a productive and mutually beneficial collaboration.
Learners
Deliverables are negotiable, and will seek to align the needs of the learners and the organization.
Some final project deliverables might include:
- A 10-15 minute presentation on key findings and recommendations
- A detailed report including their research, analysis, insights and recommendations

Project Examples
Requirements
Learners in groups of 3-5 will work with your company to identify your needs and provide actionable recommendations, based on their in-depth research and analysis.
Project activities that learners can complete may include, but are not limited to:
- Forecasting and reporting on the effects of changes in demand and supply on equilibrium price and quantity
- Assessing an economy's unemployment, inflation, and GDP to determine the phase of the business cycle
- Using aggregate demand and supply to explain changes in GDP and the price level
- Developing strategies for small businesses to navigate trade challenges
