A large number of University of East London MSc Computer Science students, who have successfully completed their studies, are available to work on your projects from October to complete their post-study 7 month industrial placement.
Our students come with a range of computing skills in areas such as systems analysis and design, cloud computing, web and mobile development, machine learning and data analytics, software engineering and cyber security. Whatever IT needs your project has, we can find suitable students for you.
This can help you grow your business, gain valuable fresh ideas on projects you are working on and open opportunities for you to train/recruit talented workers in a low risk environment, and it helps our students develop the professional and development skills they need to start their careers!
Learners
The final project deliverables will include:
- Prototype and source code of your solution
- User and Developer documentation
- A 15-minute final presentation and poster.

- October 18, 2021 - Project Scope Meeting
- November 22, 2021 - Project Review 1 - Meeting between students, company and UEL academic to review project progress.
- December 20, 2021 - Project Review 2 - Meeting between students, company and UEL academic to review project progress.
- January 24, 2022 - Project Review 3 - Meeting between students, company and UEL academic to review project progress.
- February 21, 2022 - Project Review 4 - Meeting between students, company and UEL academic to review project progress.
- March 21, 2022 - Project Review 5 - Meeting between students, company and UEL academic to review project progress.
- April 18, 2022 - Project Review 6 - Meeting between students, company and UEL academic to review project progress.
- May 10, 2022 - Project submission date
Project Examples
Requirements
Based on your organizations goals, students will apply skills to build software and embedded systems to achieve your goals.
Students will work with you to:
- Develop requirements, user stories and customer walk-throughs for your project.
- Develop prototypes and proof of concept solutions and solicit feedback from you and your users
- Rigorously test exisiting systems and provide user feedback
- Iterate and refine designs to meet your needs.
Example projects include, but are not limited to:
- Frontend and back-end website development or adding features to an existing product
- Application software development
- Mobile Apps for Android or iOS
- Data Analytics and visualisation
- Systems testing and feedback
- Cloud migration and development
- Systems security analysis
- Development of IT training materials and courses
