Project examples
Ideal projects for this course are exploratory in nature. That is, you have a dataset and are seeking a compelling visual narrative, but you're not looking for formal modeling, regression, or machine learning.
Great project types might include:
- Visualizing customer or operational data to identify trends or anomalies
- Exploring marketing or engagement data for storytelling to internal stakeholders
- Understanding regional, demographic, or temporal patterns in historical data
- Mapping relationships across categories, time, or location
Students are not expected to build predictive models or conduct statistical inference, but may perform basic cleansing, filtering, and calculation logic using tools such as Tableau Prep or Alteryx.
