Expected outcomes and deliverables

Phase 1 - Project Plan: Students will meet with organization representative(s) to devise the project scope and prepare a detailed plan for completion of the project.

Phase 2 - Students will communicate weekly with organization representative(s) to provide update / progress reports as the execute on the project plan.

Phase 3 - Outcome - Report and Presentation: Students will submit a final report with details of research, analysis, findings, and recommendations. Teams will give a final presentation to organization representatives, either in person or virtually.

Requirements

MBA student-consultants studying at FIU will spend 180 hours per team of 5 conducting a research-based assessment on a challenge or opportunity within your organization. As a top research university, FIU's International Business program is ranked top 10 in the US.

Based on their research, student-consultants will provide valuable, unbiased insights about your market, customers, competition, and/or organization.

Research and analysis may include, but is not limited to:

  • A SWOT analysis.
  • A competitive analysis.
  • A country-based expansion analysis.
  • A customer feedback/brand perception analysis
  • A supplier chain analysis
