Details

This is an ongoing project but this phase is to produce detailed architectural drawings CAD, REVIT and/or to create a comprehensive Building Information Modelling (BIM) model for an underground 6000 square foot building in a residential acreage site for an off grid application.

This includes developing a detailed digital representation of the building's physical and functional characteristics, integrating various systems (architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing), and ensuring the model is coordinated and clash-free. This includes creating accurate and comprehensive plans, elevations, sections, and construction details that adhere to industry standards and client requirements.

Deliverables

Site Analysis and Planning- We are in the beginning stages of this project with some of the work currently being completed by a group of overseas architects and designers. Conceptual wireframe, contours and the basic outlines of the building done in Revit or CAD should be available upon request if all goes well within the next three weeks.


During the next six months we hope to have enough engagement for the detail phase of the project, confirming measurements, researching equipment going into the structure, structural loads, beam assemblies, traffic flow patterns, public safety, slaughter room, insulation and heating requirements, off grid requirements, developing solar systems, nonelectronic security systems and designs, soil loads, drainage capabilities and a myriad of other details for these type of builds.


Designing the airflow, heating and electrical requirements and making sure that they do not overlap through either mechanical or BIMM analysis.

Develop a site plan showing existing building and new building location, landscape features, and site features. (I already have existing house plans, lot block plan and arial footage)



Preliminary Design and Concept Development

All the conceptual napkins drawings have been produced but there is still a ton of research and design to be done in the systems, equipment and processes needed to create this building. Continue to develop initial design concepts and sketches until we are confident that we have the proper structure designed.


Create schematic floor plans that illustrate the basic layout and space utilization.

Architectural Floor Plans

Draft detailed floor plans showing all walls, doors, windows, and interior elements.

Include dimensions, annotations, and room labels.

Ensure compliance with building codes and accessibility standards.

Elevations and Sections

Create exterior elevations showing the building's appearance from all sides.

Draft building sections that illustrate vertical relationships between spaces.

Include material indications, heights, and critical dimensions.


Construction Details

Develop detailed drawings for key construction elements (e.g. wall sections, stair details, window and door details).

Ensure details are clear, accurate, and conform to construction practices.

Coordinate with structural and MEP systems to integrate their requirements.


Interior Details and Finishes

Draft interior elevations for critical areas (e.g. restrooms, lobbies).

Specify interior finishes, fixtures, and fittings.

Clash Detection and Coordination

Use BIM software tools to perform clash detection.

Resolve identified clashes and ensure coordination between different systems.

Update and refine the model based on coordination meetings.


Quality Control and Review

Conduct a thorough review of all drawings for accuracy and completeness.

Ensure all drawings meet industry standards and client specifications.

Incorporate feedback from stakeholders and finalize the drawings.
