Bio

Having been in and around business from a young age, Colin’s current chapter is all about mentoring and helping entrepreneurs avoid needless failure.
20 years of awesome wins, excruciating failures, and lessons learned through his own ventures, investing, selling, growing and supporting businesses of all sizes from well-known international brands to the earliest of startups. These experiences formed the launch of The EntrepreneurRoadmap.ca, an online DIY tool-suite for entrepreneurs and mentors.

The Entrepreneur Roadmap is at the centre of a few major projects.
1. Fuse42 a business accelerator
2. A Kiva-like micro-lending app helping entrepreneurs in developing countries through training and micro loans of $700-1300
3. Teaching innovation and entrepreneurship to school-age through university students internationally, and
4. Building international ecosystems across Canada, through Central and South Africa, Central America, Northern and Eastern Europe.

Google Form Conversion for Entrepreneurs

Our organization is able to offer a virtual internship opportunity for 3-4 business students. The Entrepreneur Roadmap (TERM) is an online suite of DIY tools for entrepreneurs to learn the fundamentals of how to start and grow a business. TERM has garnered interest internationally from South Africa, to Northern and Eastern Europe, the Middle East, across Canada and more. We are in transitioning the tools from Word Documents and Excel sheets into Google Forms. The primary focus for the student will be:  The main role is converting training forms from MS Word and Excel into Google Forms. Communications  - The forms need to capture the questions required but also have a comprehensive flow and user friendly feel. Marketing  - These tools are used for entrepreneurs of all levels and several languages. Clarity is key. Design and user experience are vital. Complete a full customer, competitor, market, and environmental analysis; complete a marketing strategy review; design a new marketing strategy (product, place, price, and promotion); conduct overhaul of our branding or communication strategy. Our goal at the end of this experience is: Global Reach - These forms will allow us a more seamless integration with entrepreneurs and entrepreneur ecosystems internationally. Sales  - Having these forms completed will allow us to start charging a small subscription fee. Other duties the student may complete could include : (indicate other duties as exemplified below) Any research needed to make the forms more valuable to those filling them in. Create presentation decks and assist with presentations to key stakeholders. If you are interested in Entrepreneurship, this is a prime opportunity to learn. We run a Business Accelerator, help entrepreneurs in developing countries through microloans, and are working to democratize entrepreneurship worldwide. We will plan to communicate with our virtual intern using these communication tools:  Ideal channels are text, email, zoom. We are very responsive. Student's primary contact : Colin Christensen, founder Secondary contact:  Melissa, Administrator

Entrepreneur Assessment Evaluation

I am looking for a questionnaire similar to MBTI or DiSC or Strengthsfinder that will help entrepreneurs get an assessment on their ability to "succeed" as an entrepreneur. This is helpful for the entrepreneur to know what they may need to improve in order to have success or for the investor looking to predict the ability to succeed as a leader. I believe EI is a core component from the dealing with and leading others as well as working with clients, vendors and investors as well. While there are more than just EI elements at work, EI is one of the main pieces.

UX Design and development of Entrepreneur Ecosystem

This is to design an online ecosystem for entrepreneurs internationally. Entrepreneurs can log in, get access to tools (videos, lessons, MOOC, tools and forms) to help them improve their business experience. They can look up terms and short tutorials on any subject from investing to finance to operations and HR in a wiki. There is also access to mentoring and peer-to-peer groups (social). Content will be started by our team and expanded to be vetted from other providers internationally for regional support. There will be an eCommerce element and I would like to incorporate analytics and AI.
